We do not operate a business model based on selling customer personal information to third parties.

However, certain activities involving advertising technology may be considered “sharing” under the CCPA even where no money is paid directly for the personal information.

9. Sharing for Cross-Context Behavioral Advertising

WhizWiser uses certain advertising and marketing technologies, which may include:

  • Google Ads
  • Meta Pixel
  • LinkedIn Insight Tag

10. Your California Privacy Rights

Subject to applicable law and certain exceptions, California residents may have the following rights.

Right to Know

You may request information about:

  • The specific pieces of personal information we maintain about you, subject to applicable exceptions
  • The categories of sources from which information was collected
  • The purposes for collecting or using personal information
  • The categories of third parties to whom personal information is disclosed
  • The categories of personal information disclosed, sold, or shared
  • Other information required by applicable California law

California law generally provides consumers with access to information covering the applicable statutory period.

Right to Delete

You may request deletion of personal information that we collected from you, subject to exceptions under applicable law.

For example, we may retain information when necessary to:

  • Complete a transaction
  • Provide a requested service

Right to Opt Out of Sale or Sharing

You may request that WhizWiser stop selling or sharing your personal information where applicable under the CCPA.

Because WhizWiser does not sell personal information for monetary consideration, the primary relevance of this right may be activities that qualify as “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising.

for exercising a privacy right.

You do not need to purchase a product or create a new account solely to submit a privacy request.

12. Verification of Requests

To protect personal information from unauthorized disclosure or deletion, we may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests.

The verification process may depend on the type and sensitivity of the request.

We may use information already associated with your account to verify the request.

We will not request unnecessary sensitive information solely for verification.

If we cannot reasonably verify your identity, we may be unable to fulfill certain requests where verification is legally required.

13. Authorized Agents

Where permitted by California law, you may designate an authorized agent to submit a privacy request on your behalf.

We may require appropriate documentation demonstrating that the agent has authority to act on your behalf and may separately verify your identity where legally permitted or required.

14. Response Time

We will respond to verifiable California privacy requests within the time periods required by applicable law.

If additional time is legally permitted and reasonably necessary, we may extend the response period and provide an explanation where required.

15. Global Privacy Control

Where required by applicable California law, WhizWiser will recognize an enabled Global Privacy Control signal as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information.
